Hi I have a client who is an architect and desperate for quality links, competition is high, many quality links come from awards, but only so many awards around... I was thinking we could obtain links from builders and suppliers of construction materials that buildings he has designed have used.  Thus effectively customers of his such as bi-fold windows and doors, paint, builders he has used, fittings and fixtures suppliers (cabinets, kitchens etc) glass and aluminium and so on.

Does anyone have an idea whether links from the like of the above would be considered by Google to be within the same industry and thus rank my architect higher with the addition of quality links as described above?

Or is Google going to get confused and think that these links are not within the same industry and lower the rank of my architects website?

Your help would be greatly, greatly appreciated, really want to help this client out.  Many thanks in advance...
