Automated data retrieval from a site

Hi, thought i'd better post this here rather than the Affiliates forum.

I just recently signed up to Commission Junction and Tradedoubler affiliate programs. Now what I want to do is create a PHP script that will login to these sites and retrieve data like my balance, and convert it to XML so I can read it using other scripts on my site.

I'm not too bad at PHP but i've never done anything like this before, can someone help?
