Sitemap problem

Hello friends i am using wordpress for my online website, and i m able to make its sitemap by xml sitemap creator but when i submitt this sitmap to google using webmaster tools why new pages are not adding in it, the number of pages is same in new sitemap as old one. how can i short out this problem is there any miss step to submit a sitemap? please tell me if you know about it.

Download your sitemap.xml file. Make changes in it, such as add your new pages in that sitemap file & save it. Upload that file to server.  Go to the Google webmaster & log in it. Go to the sitemap link. Click on previous sitemap.xml file & resubmit it. Google will automatically crawl your website.

Regenerate your XML sitemap with the new pages added, then it will be showing up in Google webmaster tools.
