Emailing attachments from website??

Hi - wonder if anybody can help me?

I'm trying to implement a feature on a local intranet page, where clicking on a link will open up a New Message pane in Outlook, and automatically add a file as an attachment.

This would be used to send various news articles (mostly PDFs) to people without having to go through the process of opening the file. The PDFs are all held on a local server rather than on individual machines, and the various pages could have up to 70 links to PDFs stored in a table.

Ideally, I'd like an icon next to each item which would implement this, but have not been able to work out a way to do it.

Anybody got any ideas?
