GX WebManager Community Edition is a proprietary Content management system with which developers get access to a Web Content Management platform including a Software Development Kit (SDK).[1]

The Software contains an example website with content (images, demo text, etc.) which allows developers to install the complete package, including a (including a database in this case MySQL). The included Application Programming Interfaces (API’s) allows to configure and extend the functionalities of websites. New features can be developed and added to existing system as separate components. Developers work in an Integrated Development Environment (IDE), based on Java standards (OSGi), Spring MVC and Eclipse [2]. The platform itself is based on open standards and technologies like SOAP, Webservices, JSR 170 / 283, BPEL, and XML.

Web Component Bundle (WCB)

Developers can build new functionality in the form of a Web Component Bundles (WCB) and integrate it into their systems as a separate component. These WCB's can then be shared and made available to other Developers on a website.

Jira Support

Jira is an issue tracking system which is available to community members. Bugs are reported centrally which makes it easy to track issues and prevent duplicate reporting.
