Secure-24’s managed hosting services, processes and facilities are designed to meet ITIL and COBIT IT management and security standards. History
Secure-24 was created in 2001 by co-founders Matthias Horch (CEO) and Volker Straub (COO) as a managed hosting company with the purpose of providing global support for the technical requirements of mid-market companies and large organization, including infrastructure, implementation, management, and ongoing support for enterprise applications. Straub and Horch originally came to the United States on behalf of TDS, one of the largest European SAP hosting providers, to open a U.S. division. When TDS changed plans, Horch and Straub chose to stay in the U.S. and launch their own company.
A privately held company, Secure-24 has grown from managing customer environments that supported just a few hundred people to deployments that support tens of thousands of end-users around the globe.
Secure-24 continues to invest and expand, most recently joining with Wayne County Government (MI) in a unique private/public partnership to build a new data center and Technology Resource Center that will host all county technology services.
Matthias Horch was recently named Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year for the Central Great Lakes Region and the company has been recognized as one of the fastest growing Private U.S. IT Services companies by Inc Magazine for the third consecutive year.[citation needed]
