Severa is a project management, time tracking, CRM and billing system offered as a hosted solution[1]. The system is used for professional services automation by organizations such as PR and Design Agencies, accounting firms, law firms, engineering houses, IT consulting shops and various other professional services.
Severa is offered as a web-based service to companies and requires no download or installation from the end-users part. As of Jan 2008, Severa has over 500 customers and over 6,000 end users. Severa has managed over 300,000 clients, 100,000 projects and millions of work hours. Over 40,000 clients have received an invoice generated by Severa.
Severa has been the recipient of many awards including the Deloitte fastest 50 growing technology company [2] and the Red Herring Global Finalist in 2008 [3].
Company history
Severa was founded in Lappeenranta in 2003 by Ari-Pekka Salovaara and Jari Kärkkäinen - both graduates from Lappeenranta University of Technology computer science department. Severa has quickly grown from its start up operations to be the premier professional services automation tool in Finland and the surrounding nordic region.
